Genevieve Robinson is a dedicated and compassionate professional with over 15 years of experience serving Veterans and supporting individuals in recovery and wellness. Currently a Peer Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in Nashville, TN, Genevieve plays a pivotal role in advancing holistic wellness, mental health advocacy, and patient-centered care. She manages the Veteran Centered Complaint Resolution process, provides crisis intervention, facilitates recovery-focused group sessions, and collaborates with congressional offices to ensure Veterans' voices are heard and their needs met.
Throughout her tenure with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Genevieve has held progressive roles in healthcare administration and patient advocacy, including Advanced Medical Support Assistant and Medical Support Assistant. She has been instrumental in improving systems, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and building trusted relationships with Veterans, families, and community partners. Earlier in her career, she worked in the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and with Atlantic Recovery Services, where she provided counseling, mentoring, and life skills support to individuals overcoming mental health and substance use challenges.
A lifelong learner, Genevieve is currently pursuing her degree as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at Volunteer State Community College. She also holds multiple diplomas and certifications, including X-Ray Technician, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy from Kaplan/Brightwood College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, as well as Paralegal Studies from Ashworth College, where she was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society. In addition, she is a Certified Peer Support Specialist and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator, recognized for her empathy-driven leadership and commitment to holistic recovery.
