SafeNet Community

Recognizing scams. Protecting the vulnerable. Restoring digital trust.

SafeNet Community is a You in Bloom Network initiative empowering youth, adults, seniors, and low-income families to recognize, prevent, and recover from online scams, misinformation, and digital risks through education, mentorship, emotional intelligence, and digital literacy.

What SafeNet Community Does

SafeNet works to build strong, informed communities that know how to recognize, prevent, and report scams before damage occurs.

Through practical training, real-life stories, and community support, we help participants move from fear and confusion online to confidence, clarity, and safer digital choices.

SafeNet exists so that the people most at risk online are the first to be informed, protected, and supported when something goes wrong.

Target Audience

SafeNet focuses on those most targeted by online scams, fraud, and digital manipulation.

  • Youth (13–25): Building digital awareness and helping them recognize online scams early.
  • Adults and Parents: Identifying financial, employment, and relationship-based scams.
  • Seniors: Preventing phishing, phone, and romance scams that prey on trust and isolation.
  • Immigrant and vulnerable communities: Reducing language-barrier exploitation and misinformation.

Program Goals & Objectives

Through SafeNet, we aim to move communities from being vulnerable and uninformed to being confident, prepared, and supported.

  • Reduce the number of scam victims in target communities.
  • Strengthen participants’ confidence in using technology safely.
  • Increase awareness of local and online scam-prevention resources.
  • Build partnerships that connect nonprofits, law enforcement, and financial institutions for community protection.
