What SafeNet Community Does
SafeNet works to build strong, informed communities that know how to recognize, prevent, and report scams before damage occurs. Through practical training, real-life stories, and community support, we help participants move from fear and confusion online to confidence, clarity, and safer digital choices.
Our Mission
SafeNet exists so that the people most at risk online are the first to be informed, protected, and supported when something goes wrong. We focus on prevention education, practical tools, and community empowerment.
Core Activities
Education: Digital literacy workshops and awareness campaigns
Support: One-on-one guidance and community resources
Prevention: Early intervention and scam recognition training
We combine knowledge with emotional intelligence to create lasting digital safety habits.
Who We Protect
SafeNet focuses on those most targeted by online scams, fraud, and digital manipulation, providing tailored support for each vulnerable group.
Youth (13–25)
Building digital awareness and helping them recognize online scams early. Teaching safe social media practices, online safety boundaries, and critical thinking skills for digital environments.
Adults and Parents
Identifying financial, employment, and relationship-based scams. Protecting families from sophisticated fraud schemes and teaching parents how to guide their children safely online.
Seniors
Preventing phishing, phone, and romance scams that prey on trust and isolation. Creating supportive networks and teaching safe online banking and communication practices.
Immigrant and Vulnerable Communities
Reducing language-barrier exploitation and misinformation. Providing culturally appropriate education and building trust through community partnerships.
Program Goals & Objectives
Through SafeNet, we aim to move communities from being vulnerable and uninformed to being confident, prepared, and supported in their digital lives.
Primary Goals
- Reduce the number of scam victims in target communities
- Strengthen participants' confidence in using technology safely
- Increase awareness of local and online scam-prevention resources
- Build partnerships that connect nonprofits, law enforcement, and financial institutions
Expected Outcomes
Participants will develop:
