Tom Tancredo

Tom Tancredo is a former U.S. Representative from Colorado with a distinguished career in education, public service, and leadership at both state and federal levels. He began his career as a teacher before serving in the Colorado Legislature from 1976 to 1981. He was later appointed by President Ronald Reagan as a Regional Representative for the U.S. Department of Education, where he served from 1981 to 1992.

From 1992 to 1998, Tom served as President of the Independence Institute, a Colorado-based public policy organization. He went on to represent Colorado's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999 to 2009. In addition to his time in Congress, he has run for the Republican nomination for President of the United States and for Governor of Colorado.
